Stacy’s journey in sports began early in life and has remained a defining part of who he is. After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy, proudly serving for eight years. During his military service, Stacy met his wife, Kathy, while stationed in Sasebo, Japan. The two have been married for 31 years and have built a strong, sports-centered family with their daughter, Bailee (24), and son, Bryce (19).
With more than 30 years of coaching experience—and the last 15 focused on volleyball—Stacy brings deep knowledge, discipline, and enthusiasm to every team he leads. He currently serves as the Head Volleyball Coach at Mountain Island Charter School, where his leadership and dedication recently earned him the Catawba River 1A/2A/3A Coach of the Year award.
Stacy’s greatest passion is working with young athletes—helping them grow not only as players but as individuals. He believes that sports provide an ideal platform to teach life lessons such as teamwork, perseverance, and integrity.
